Akitas Judo Club only endorses BJA clubs within the UK. All other associations, clubs, websites etc are only what we have found useful.
Within the UK, unless affiliated with the BJA, your grade is not
recognised (IJF, non-UK grades may be recognised - see the below BJA
link to see your own circumstance). You will also not reap the benefits
of Olympic inclusion, affiliation with the Sports Council (a government
body), and suffer less insurance.
In short, Akitas Judo Club urges all clubs to join the BJA, showing the respect to their members that they deserve.
